Job description:
As the Head of Compliance you will be responsible for ensuring all policies and procedures are compliant with the company’s Malta and Isle of Man B2C licenses and any other future licences that the company may apply for.
The role will report to the Director of Compliance and you will be expected to be able to define, implement and enhance solutions to any regulatory changes or challenges.
The role is a senior operational role that will require an experienced Head of Compliance who will be responsible for operational processes, compliance assessments and being the main point of contact for regulators. As such it is expected you will be the Key Function holder for the MGA licence and nominated person for the Isle of Man.
  • Accountable for operational compliance teams ensuring all staff are adequately trained and processes are being implemented effectively
  • Main point of contact for regulatory bodies and managing regulatory relationships for the purposes of reporting (key event, regulatory reporting)
  • Building and managing Compliance relationships with White Label partners ensuring they are kept abreast of regulatory developments and feedback any issues/escalations as required from time to time
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures relating to Compliance are periodically reviewed and updated including but not limited to Responsible Gambling and KYC
  • Devising and enhancing Compliance KPI’s for reporting in the Monthly Safer Gambling Committee
  • Attending various governance committees as required
  • Working closely with the BI Team to ensure accurate and automated reporting of Compliance processes especially interaction effectiveness and use of RG tools
  • Key function holder MGA/IOM
  • Investigating breaches and ensuring timely reporting and resolution
  • Jurisdictional Regulatory reporting as required
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance from time to time
  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Head of Compliance or similar role in the gaming industry
  • Experience and knowledge of dealing with MGA (Malta) is a must and IOM (Isle of Man) beneficial
  • Ability to define solutions to regulatory challenges that balance commercial objectives with the regulatory objectives
  • Relevant Compliance qualifications such as ICA Advanced Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
  • Keen understanding of data to drive process definitions and improvements as required
  • Experience in designing and implementing Safer Gambling processes
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Previous AML experience a bonus
  • Working knowledge of other jurisdictions such as UK and Ontario
