Job description: We are looking for an experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join one of our established iGaming clients to ensure that the business remains compliant with the rules and regulations that impact their operations within the various markets it provides services within.
  • Draft, prepare and follow up on licensing applications for the obtainment of new licenses and or license renewals
  • Responsible for all areas of licensing and compliance adherence across brands which to date includes Malta, UK, Sweden and Spain. 
  • Establish and maintains a rapport with Regulators (including MGA/UKGC/SGA) acting as main point of contact to ensure that good relations are fostered
  • Continuously monitor compliance with licensing obligations and keeping abreast with changes in licensing requirements and regulatory developments
  • Liaise with Regulators with reference to customer complaints escalated to the Regulator and other third parties
  • Handle sensitive escalated customer complaints from the Regulator and liaises with the Regulator to ensure prompt and efficient resolution thereof
  • Oversee annual compliance audits and personally manage internal and 3rd party regulatory compliance audits for Malta, Sweden, UK and Sweden.
  • Provide general legal compliance advice on all aspects relating to remote gaming legislations in a number of jurisdictions
  • Create, review and update internal company policies for all departments on matters which affect licensing and compliance including but not limited to, advertising and marketing, IT, fraud and responsible gaming  
  • Draft, review, and approve all customer-facing content on the websites including terms & conditions, privacy policy, responsible gaming pages, promotions to ensure compliance with licensing conditions and self-regulation
  • Provide advice and review business contracts wherever required for compliance and licensing matters
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to ensure collaboration on all matters which may impact compliance with licensing conditions and other compliance obligations resulting at law or from self-regulation
  • Manage a team of compliance officers, both technical and regulatory, ensuring that the team receives the necessary advice, guidance and assistance they require from their manager to enable them to carry out their day-to-day job
  • Take responsibility for the team’s actions and regularly liaises with direct reports to always ensure a bird’s eye view of the Compliance Department’s remit
  • Monitoring all compliance aspects of the business, identification of compliance gaps or risks and escalation thereof to CLCO and senior management
  • Represent the group on compliance meetings held by various associations, committees, and specialised workshops
  • Attend management team meetings in representation of the Compliance Department
  • Sit on the Group’s IT release committee to ensure that scheduled development work required for compliance purposes is given the necessary priority
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role as a Compliance Manager or Head of Compliance with an established iGaming Operator – With a focus on Regulatory Compliance
  • Strong experience in liaising with the MGA and UKGC. Experience with SGA, DGOJ a plus!
  • Excellent knowledge of Compliance and Regulatory requirements within the industry
  • Legal background considered an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to build and maintain excellent relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
