Job description: Our client is a diverse and fast-growing online casino operator active in regulated markets with offices based in Malta, Estonia, and the Netherlands. HR Specialist 

  • Taking ownership of the onboarding process for new employees;
  • Creating employee profiles on Indigo and BambooHR, liaising with new employees to collate necessary information and assisting with obtaining social security and tax details;
  • Setting up the onboarding section from scratch on BambooHR, creating questionnaires for new starters and sending out HR announcements;
  • Taking ownership of mandatory training sessions, ensuring that all employees complete them within a specified timeframe and keeping records of all completed sessions;
  • Handling the training records on an e-learning platform and necessary analysis and reports;
  • Assisting managers with recruitment and managing communication with candidates and external recruitment agencies;
  • Setting up and managing leave balances for employees in three locations;
  • Creating monthly leave reports;
  • Adding any TOIL and overtime balances on Indigo and BambooHR on a monthly basis;
  • Monthly reconciliation of leave on BambooHR and Indigo;
  • Liaising with an external company in the Netherlands for the payroll of all NL-based employees;
  • Act as the tool admin of Performance management systems;
  • External training: Search, evaluate and select external trainers, and training agencies to provide appropriate training programs; work with them to build proper training content;
  • Collaborate with department heads to analyse the training needs for each department to propose the annual training plan and budget;
  • Assist in defining the strategy to enhance the employee experience, in line with the company values;
  • Be involved in the development and implementation of initiatives/communications focusing on improving employee engagement;
  • Develop and maintain diversified channels and content to ensure employees are well aware of company policies/initiatives and announcements;
Must have:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in HR using both BambooHR and Indigo
  • Experience in preparation of payroll
  • Thorough understanding of HR practices in Malta
  • Works independently and confidently
