We're a start up, and we're looking for someone who has recently completed their law degree, and wants a huge learning curve. Reporting to our Compliance Manager & MLRO, you'll be playing an important part in the development and implementation of procedures and processes in line with regulations as well as mitigating risk. You will work to prevent gambling from being a source of crime, and ensure that gambling is conducting in an open and fair manner. You will work to protect children and vulnerable people from being harmed and exploited by gambling.
You will be required to:
  • Assist in the Legal and Compliance Departments
  • Assist with ensuring that procedures and processes are compliant with regulators
  • Monitor changes in the regulatory environment
  • Work with the Compliance Manager and MLRO on operations processes to support the regulations and mitigate risks
  • Work with Tech team on required changes in the product to support new regulations and new guidelines and technical standards
  • Assist with risk assessments and due diligence processes. Implementing and assisting with KYC and KYB processes
  • Review marketing material and provide relevant feedback on an ongoing basis
  • Transaction analysis and monitoring as well as reporting of any suspicious transactions
  • Review and monitoring of players experiencing problem gambling issues
  • Assist with periodic audits
  • Any other tasks that management might assign
 The requirements for this role are:
  • A degree in law
  • At least one year’s experience in a legal and compliance environment with a gaming company
  • Experience with dealing with UKGC and MGA
  • Ability to work within a dynamic and fast environment
  • English at mother tongue level – written and spoken
  • Highly motivated, energetic, result-oriented person.
  • Great communication skills, responsible and good organisational skills
  • Can-do attitude
