Legal & Compliance Manager

Job Overview 

As Legal & Compliance Manager, you are responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance and operational risk control in accordance with the regulatory standards and policies. You are a key player in further enhancing the compliance culture within the company.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Reviewing and drafting contracts
  • Assisting in periodical reports required by the MGA, KSA , EMTA & FIAU and any other regulatory authority
  • Ensuring compliance among all the departments and assisting with internal monitoring
  • Assisting with AML and RG processes
  • Staying up to date with the regulatory requirements
  • Organising meetings and taking minutes
  • Ensuring contract /file management
  • Assisting with internal and external compliance audits
  • Assisting the MLRO & the DPO & Head of Legal & ComplianceAssisting with drafting, and reviewing of existing company policies & procedures and creating new ones as necessary.

Requirements

  • Excellent command of English is essential
  • Knowledge of Dutch would be considered an asset
  • Based in Malta or willing to relocate
  • A bachelor's degree in law, master’s is a plus
  • Knowledge of compliance areas: AML, RG, Marketing and GDPR
  • Attention to detail, proactive and keen to learn
  • Able to work under strict deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proven experience within a compliance and/or legal department
