We are looking for an iGaming tax expert who will be responsible for creating and implementing tax plans for our awesome iGaming client. The Tax Manager will manage and facilitate the accurate preparation and filing of our client’s tax forms and will work with the accounting and leadership teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and potential areas of risk. The Tax Manager will be monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies.
  • Overall ownership for all direct and indirect tax submissions for all Malta entities and the markets where the group operates
  • Ownership of the Group’s Legal structure
  • Responsibility for transfer pricing analysis efforts and documentation requirements, including country-by-country reporting with external tax providers
  • Ownership of other business-related submissions
  • Implementing opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
  • Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for the Group
  • Maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
  • Managing and facilitating tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicating the effects of these developments to management, and creating strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
  • Providing support with various internal audits and special tax related projects
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior tax role within the iGaming industry or the Big 4 with a focus on iGaming clients
  • Strong iGaming Tax Knowledge in various markets
  • A CPA and a master’s degree in an accounting discipline
  • Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives
  • Familiarity with U.S. reporting requirements will be considered as an asset
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English
