As a major iGaming hub, we opened our very first office on the beautiful island of Malta and have continued to operate here since 2010. Our offices currently have staff from 17 different countries, so we’re quite an eclectic mix of individuals. Whilst we recruit internationally for all major iGaming hubs, we regularly have jobs available in Malta, so for those of you who don’t know much about Malta, we thought it would be nice to share the experiences of our recruiters who now live here. Malta is known as an easy country to relocate to and this is what our staff had to say about live here when we asked them, ‘What it is like to live in Malta?’

Living in Malta allows you to enjoy everyday things that most people will experience only when they are on holiday. I wake up to sunny blue skies almost every day with the opportunity of enjoying myself in so many different ways – from going to the beach and hanging out with my friends in the many bars or cafes to visiting historical or cultural landmarks, I’m never bored. Apart from all the sun and fun, Malta is an economically well developed country and it can provide you with all the opportunities any major European capital would. It is a multicultural country and simply by walking down the Strand in Sliema for 15 minutes, you pass by people from every corner of the world.

Living in Malta makes you feel as though you never have to miss out – you can get so many things done in a day since everywhere is so close, with most amenities just at your doorstep. There’s such a strong expat community that you never feel alone – you will always find someone up for a drink or dinner or just a nice walk on the front by the sea, so whether you’re relocating alone or with family, you’re bound to make friends instantly.

It’s an unique experience. Malta is a country with warm weather and constant sunshine, a lot of culture, and beautiful sea views. It’s very different from Germany, but I adjusted quickly and now have an awesome experience living here. I could have chosen to do my internship anywhere in Europe, but I’m glad that I chose to do it in Malta.

Malta constantly has great weather which helps you to enjoy many of the lovely beaches. It has its own unique culture, very different from the UK, which has been a pleasure to experience. Its also a super safe place to live for families with very low crime rates. All in all, it’s a great place to live with a lot of potential in terms of career development and quality of life.
